Akemi 1 Liter Stain Repellent Nano

Akemi Stain Repellent Nano-Effect is a ready-to-use, weather-resistant, and non-yellowing impregnation formulated with high-quality organic active ingredients. The product is absorbed by the stone by capillary forces, but without sealing the pores, therefore it is highly efficient and long-lasting. This sealant is particularly useful in kitchens, baths, tabletops, and tile grout joints.

Applications

 :
  • Akemi Stain Repellent Nano-Effect is used to repel water, grease, and oil from mineral building materials, such as natural and artificial stone. 
  • The product is particularly useful in kitchens (coatings, countertops), bathrooms (wash tables, marble tiles), tables, window sills, tile joints, and facades (anti-graffiti).

Instructions for usage :
1. Cleaning : The surface must be clean, entirely dry, and free of any layers; in outdoor places, ensure that the stone does not contain any hazardous salts, as these impair the stone's absorptive capacity. Depending on the kind of stone and the level of soiling, the following Akemi products are recommended : Stone Cleaner, Concrete Film Remover, Rust Remover, Wax Stripper, Algae and Moss Remover, Oil and Grease Remover Paste, and Graffiti Remover. In any case, after cleaning, thoroughly rinse with water. Before receiving its protective coating, the stone must be completely dry. Typically, this occurs within 1-2 days at most.
2. Prepare a sample area : Before beginning, we recommend preparing a sample area of 1-2 m² to assess impregnation efficiency, evaluate the appearance of the treated object (color improve cement), and accurately determine material consumption.
3. Procedure for impregnation :
a) Shake well before use. The ideal conditions for impregnating are a temperature between 10 and 30 degrees Celsius and humidity protection for around 2-3 hours. The stone should not be warmed by underfloor heating or direct sunshine.
b) The impregnating efficacy is adequate for fissures less than 0.3 mm.
c) In general, one or two wet-in-wet equipment are sufficient. In the case of less absorbent surfaces, we propose diluting with Akemi Nitro-Dilution at a ratio of 1:1.
d) Apply the product using a brush or mop. Airless spraying equipment with low pressure (max. 1 bar over pressure) is appropriate for treating cades with the flooding (multiple-coat) method and a jet distance of 5-10 cm (condition tubes and seals must be solvent resistant). The impregnation is applied till it reaches 40-50 cm.
e) About 20 minutes after application, and before the impregnation dries on the surface, any excess that has been absorbed by the stone must be fully cleaned with a towel. Polished surfaces must be polished again to remove any blooming on the surface.
f) If the intended result is not attained or the impregnation was applied unevenly, it is possible to repeat the impregnation. The water-repellent effect appears after a few minutes, and full protection occurs after 2-3 hours.
g) Sufficient ventilation (approx. 2-3 days) is required when utilizing the product in food environments.
h) Tools can be cleaned using Akemi nitro thinner.
