Description
Designed for sheet metal fabricators, HVAC specialists, and roofers, the Polymak 250mm Right-Cut Aviation Snip (Model: HT-P-ASR-10) is a manual cutting tool of trade grade. The cutting blades, which are induction-hardened and drop-forged from high-quality alloy steel, are made to cut through thin-gauge stainless steel panels and cold-rolled steel with ease during an extended period of use. In order to keep the waste material neatly rolled away from the user's hand, this specialist tool has a right-cut orientation, which means it is geometrically intended to cut straight and perform smooth, tight curves to the right.
Features
:- Right-Cut Orientation: Geometrically tailored to easily cut straight lines and accurate, sharp curves to the right.
- Forged Alloy Steel Blades: To guarantee optimal wear resistance and a longer service life, premium tool steel alloy is drop-forged and heat-treated.
- Non-Slip Serrated Edges: During shearing, specially machined blade serrations firmly grasp smooth metal surfaces, preventing material walk or slippage.
- Compound Leverage Pivot: Heavy-gauge metals may be cut with much less physical effort thanks to a high-efficiency mechanical joint that increases hand pressure.
- Ergonomic Comfort Grip: During prolonged use, molded dual-material handle sleeves reduce operator hand fatigue, shield knuckles, and prevent slippage.
- Safety Lock Latch: When kept in a tool belt or chest, the integrated metal bottom lock latch keeps the sharp cutting blades safely closed.
Applications
:- HVAC ductwork fabrication includes round pipe sheet metal components, transitions, and galvanized steel ducts that are trimmed and shaped.
- Installing roofing and flashing involves cutting corrugated aluminum roofing profiles, vinyl siding, zinc sheets, and copper flashing on-site.
- Setting up a drywall framing system involves carefully cutting corner beads, acoustic ceiling tracks, and structural metal studs.
- Sheet cutting in a general workshop includes cutting aluminum body sheets, rubber gaskets, wire mesh screening, and thin plastics.
Usage
:- To protect your hands and eyes from flying slivers and sharp sheet metal burrs, put on safety-approved cut-resistant gloves and protective eyewear.
- To release the integrated return spring mechanism, unlock the handle safety latch located at the bottom of the snip handles.
- For optimal cutting leverage, fully open the blades and position the sheet metal edge deep into the jaws' rear throats at a vertical 90° alignment.
- To avoid dimpling or ripping the metal, squeeze the ergonomic handles firmly and make steady, smooth strokes. Stop each cut just before the blade tips completely close.
- To prevent binding, move the tool along the goal line while allowing the right-cut design to roll the extra scrap metal out of your way.
