The Abrigo RFA-100 Retractable Fall Arrester Block is a self-retracting lifeline (SRL) designed for high-altitude protection across construction, industrial maintenance, and utility applications. Built with an impact-resistant polymer casing, this block houses 10 meters of 4.5mm diameter galvanized steel wire rope to resist wear and prevent cable breakage under severe job site conditions. It features a swivel anchorage eye at the top to prevent rope twisting during operation, along with an integrated molded side handle for easy carrying and transportation. Tested to a minimum breaking strength of 12kN and certified to EN 360:2002 standards, this unit can also be stored flat on its side or stacked vertically to save space.

Usage

Perform a pre-use inspection of the polymer housing, 4.5 mm wire cable, swivel anchorage eye, and snap hook.
Securely connect the top swivel anchorage eye to an approved overhead anchor point using an EN-certified connector.
Attach the lower swivel snap hook directly to the dorsal (back) D-ring of the user's full-body safety harness.
Move vertically along the workspace while the spring-loaded internal reel smoothly extends and retracts the wire rope.
In the event of a slip or fall, the internal locking mechanism immediately engages to arrest the drop and absorb shock loads.
