Description
The Polymak 15-165mm Heavy Duty Pipe Vice (Model HT-P-PV-165) is an ultra-rugged, commercial-grade clamping workstation component engineered to hold oversized cylindrical pipes, heavy industrial conduits, and plumbing lines entirely stationary during cutting, threading, and welding tasks. Designed to serve as the structural anchor of your workspace, this high-capacity vice features a massive, highly durable cast iron foundation body that effectively dampens extreme vibrations and resists twisting or fracturing under high pressure.
Features
:- Heavy-Duty Cast Iron Body: Structural foundation molded from elite high-tensile cast iron to maximize stability, downward load capacity, and shop vibration-dampening.
- Forged High Carbon Steel Clamp: Equipped with a rugged drop-forged high carbon steel bridge clamp assembly built to deliver maximum clamping torque and long life.
- Massive 15-165mm Capacity: Highly expanded throat architecture easily accommodates a wide variety of large cylindrical tubes, pipes, and columns from 15 mm up to 165 mm.
- Hardened Serrated Teeth: Deeply broached jaw teeth bite intensely into round metal pipe surfaces, completely eliminating accidental axial slippage or twisting.
- High-Torque Tommy Bar Handle: Outfitted with a long, smooth-sliding steel handle bar that allows users to exert high structural holding force with minimal hand strain.
- Hinged Lateral Frame Release: Features a convenient hinged framework lock that allows the upper jaw housing to swing open horizontally for rapid lateral pipe handling.
Applications
:- Heavy Commercial Plumbing & Drainage: Holding large-diameter carbon steel, black iron, or copper water mains completely immobile during manual thread processing.
- Industrial Electrical Conduit Engineering: Securing heavy-walled rigid steel conduit (RSC) and industrial utility paths for quick custom cutting, reaming, or sizing.
- Metal Workshop Fabrication: Locking structural round hollow sections (RHS), thick boiler tubes, and steel columns in position for high-pressure grinding or welding prep.
- Facility Plant Mechanical Support: Servicing heavy threaded manifold fittings, process valve networks, and fluid line components safely on the workshop floor.
Usage
:- Securely bolt the cast iron base plate of the Polymak HT-P-PV-165 vice down onto a heavy-duty steel workbench, utility truck bed, or field tripod frame.
- Turn the top sliding handle bar counterclockwise to fully raise the clamping screw shaft, unhook the lateral safety latch pin, and swing the main frame open.
- Lay the heavy metal pipe or conduit horizontally across the center of the lower serrated V-block tray jaw.
- Swing the upper drop-forged high carbon steel clamp assembly back down over the pipe and engage the primary structural frame locking hook.
- Spin the top tommy bar handle clockwise to drive the upper hardened tooth jaw straight down onto the top circumference of the pipe.
- Give a final, firm torque twist to lock the clamp tightly, verify the material is fully stabilized, and proceed with your planned cutting, manual threading, or welding.
