Description
The 2-Inch Shackle Hitch Receiver with 4¾ Ton Bow Shackle is engineered for powerful towing and off-road recovery operations. Constructed from solid forged steel, this heavy-duty recovery hitch provides outstanding durability and strength with a maximum break strength of 20 tons, making it suitable for demanding recovery scenarios. Designed to fit standard 2-inch receiver hitches, this shackle mount can be easily installed on most trucks, SUVs, and off-road vehicles. The included 4.75-ton bow shackle provides a strong and reliable connection point for tow straps, winch cables, and recovery ropes. The green powder-coated hitch receiver paired with a red bow shackle not only adds a rugged off-road appearance but also helps protect the unit from rust, corrosion, and wear. Built to perform in harsh environments, this recovery hitch is ideal for off-road adventures, vehicle rescue operations, towing equipment, and heavy-duty utility work.
Features
:- Massive 20 Ton Pulling Power: Engineered for extreme towing and recovery situations with a maximum break strength of 20 tons, ensuring dependable performance in demanding conditions.
- Standard 2-Inch Universal Fit: Designed to fit seamlessly into most standard 2-inch trailer hitch receivers on SUVs, pickup trucks, Jeeps, and off-road vehicles.
- Heavy-Duty 4.75 Ton Bow Shackle: Equipped with a 4.75-ton rated bow shackle providing a highly secure connection point for recovery straps, tow ropes, and winch lines.
- Solid Forged Steel Construction: Manufactured entirely from high-strength solid forged steel to withstand heavy pulling forces and tough recovery conditions.
- Durable Powder-Coated Finish: Green hitch receiver paired with a red bow shackle offers corrosion resistance while providing a rugged off-road look.
- Harsh Environment Ready: Built to perform consistently in harsh outdoor settings, resisting rust, wear, and atmospheric oxidation.
Applications
:- Off-Road Vehicle Recovery: Safe and reliable attachment point for pulling stuck trucks, Jeeps, and off-road vehicles out of mud, sand, or deep ruts.
- Heavy-Duty Equipment Towing: Connecting heavy utility trailers, farm equipment, and workplace machinery to towing vehicles.
- Winch Line Rigging: Acting as an anchor point for connecting winch hooks, snatch blocks, or tree savers during vehicle rescue operations.
- Roadside Rescue Operations: Providing public or private emergency rescue teams with a robust rear vehicle extraction link.
- Agricultural & Farm Tasks: Dragging heavy logs, clearing fields, or pulling stalled tractors across rough farm terrain.
Usage
:- Clean out the vehicle's standard 2-inch receiver sleeve to remove built-up dirt or rust before inserting the hitch mount.
- Slide the green forged steel receiver block smoothly into the sleeve, lining up the crossholes accurately.
- Insert a standard hitch locking pin (sold separately) straight through the matching crossholes to secure the receiver mount.
- Unthread the red shackle cross pin, loop your recovery strap or winch cable eye over the 4.75-ton bow shackle, and re-thread the shackle pin back into place tightly.
- Check that all connection lines are centered and straight before initiating a slow, controlled pulling or winching operation.
- Wash mud, salt, or grit off the powder-coated green and red finish after off-road runs to maintain the rust-resistant surface.
