Description
The Heavy-Duty 2-Inch Shackle Hitch Receiver with 4¾ Ton Bow Shackle is designed for powerful towing and off-road vehicle recovery. Built from solid forged steel, this hitch receiver delivers exceptional strength with a maximum break strength of 20 Tons (42,000 lbs), making it suitable for heavy-duty recovery operations. The hitch fits standard 2-inch receiver mounts, allowing easy installation on most trucks, SUVs, and off-road vehicles. The included 4.75-ton bow shackle provides a strong and reliable connection point for recovery straps, winch cables, and tow ropes. Finished with a durable powder-coated black receiver and red shackle, this recovery hitch resists rust, corrosion, and wear even in harsh environments. Its rugged design ensures dependable performance during demanding situations such as off-road recoveries, towing equipment, trailer pulling, and emergency roadside recovery.
Features
:- Extreme 42,000 lbs Pulling Strength: Engineered to survive demanding towing and recovery setups with a maximum break strength of 20 tons (42,000 lbs).
- Universal 2-Inch Fitment: Standard square profile slides smoothly into most standard 2-inch hitch receiver sleeves found on SUVs, Jeeps, and pickup trucks.
- Heavy-Duty 4.75 Ton Bow Shackle: Includes a strong 4¾ ton rated red bow shackle to establish a dependable linkage for winches and ropes.
- Solid Forged Steel Matrix: Formed using high-strength solid forged steel built to withstand sudden kinetic snaps and extreme pulling forces.
- Corrosion-Resistant Powder Finish: Premium black powder-coated receiver shank matched with a red shackle provides reliable protection against rust, chipping, and wear.
- Rugged Off-Road Aesthetics: The tactical black and red color palette adds an aggressive, professional appearance to any vehicle's rear assembly.
Applications
:- Off-Road Vehicle Recovery: Safe and reliable attachment point for pulling stuck trucks, Jeeps, and off-road vehicles out of mud, sand, or deep ruts.
- Heavy-Duty Equipment Towing: Connecting heavy utility trailers, farm equipment, and workplace machinery to towing vehicles.
- Winch Line Rigging: Acting as an anchor point for connecting winch hooks, snatch blocks, or tree savers during vehicle rescue operations.
- Roadside Rescue Operations: Providing public or private emergency rescue teams with a robust rear vehicle extraction link.
- Agricultural & Farm Tasks: Dragging heavy logs, clearing fields, or pulling stalled tractors across rough farm terrain.
Usage
:- Clean out the vehicle's standard 2-inch receiver sleeve to remove built-up dirt or rust before inserting the hitch mount.
- Slide the black forged steel receiver block smoothly into the sleeve, lining up the crossholes accurately.
- Insert a standard hitch locking pin (sold separately) straight through the matching crossholes to secure the receiver mount.
- Unthread the red shackle cross pin, loop your recovery strap or winch cable eye over the 4.75-ton bow shackle, and re-thread the shackle pin back into place tightly.
- Check that all connection lines are centered and straight before initiating a slow, controlled pulling or winching operation.
- Wash mud, salt, or grit off the powder-coated black and red finish after off-road runs to maintain the rust-resistant surface.
