The Abrigo RFA-200 Retractable Fall Arrester Block is an industrial-grade self-retracting lifeline (SRL) designed to deliver reliable vertical fall protection at heights of up to 20 meters. Encased in an impact-resistant polymer shell to safeguard internal components against job site impacts, it houses 20 meters of 4.5 mm diameter galvanized steel wire rope to prevent line breakage under heavy load conditions. Featuring a top anchorage eye with full swivel action to eliminate cable twisting and an integrated molded carrying handle for convenient transit, it is tested to a minimum static breaking strength of 12kN. Certified to EN 360:2002 standards, this retractable block can also be stored flat on its side or stacked vertically to save space.

Usage

Perform a pre-use visual inspection of the polymer housing, 20m wire cable, swivel anchorage eye, and snap hook for damage or wear.
Securely connect the top swivel anchorage eye to an approved overhead anchorage point using an EN-certified karabiner.
Attach the lower swivel snap hook directly to the dorsal (back) D-ring of the user's full-body safety harness.
Move vertically along the workspace while the internal spring-loaded reel automatically extends and retracts the steel wire cable.
In the event of a slip or sudden drop, the internal centrifugal braking system instantly locks to arrest the fall safely.
