Description
The Polymak 610mm (24") Heavy Duty Pipe Wrench (Model HT-P-HPW-24) is an industrial-grade manual plumbing tool engineered to deliver maximum gripping force and durability under high-torque applications. The upper hook and lower heel jaws are manufactured from premium drop-forged 55 carbon steel, ensuring a long-lasting and resilient tool service life. The precision-machined jaw teeth are engineered with an optimized tooth angle that forms an aggressive, positive grip on cylindrical pipes, tubes, and rounded fasteners. Through a specialized structural heat-treatment process, differential hardening is applied between the core teeth and the main body of the jaw. This ensures peak wear resistance along the biting surface while providing structural elasticity to resist breaking under load. Completed with an ultra-tough handle made from ductile cast iron, this 24-inch pipe wrench withstands significantly higher mechanical torque values, making it an essential hand tool for commercial plumbing, oil field repair, and gas line infrastructure installation.
Features
:- Drop-Forged 55 Carbon Steel: Premium jaw steel construction ensures an intensely tough, long-lasting, and durable service life.
- Ductile Cast Iron Handle: Structural handle made from ductile cast iron enables higher mechanical torque values for heavy-duty industrial pipeline work.
- Precision Machined Teeth: Precision-machined jaw teeth feature a specialized, aggressive teeth angle that enables a secure, positive grip on the job.
- Differential Hardening Technology: Differential hardening of the teeth and jaw body enables massive high torque and exceptional wear resistance of the jaw teeth.
- Smooth-Spin Adjustment Nut: Equipped with a knurled cylindrical thumb adjustment nut that clears dirt easily and provides seamless sliding jaw adjustments.
- Integrated Handle Hang Hole: Features a built-in lanyard eyelet hole at the tail of the handle for easy tool tethering or overhead shop storage.
Applications
:- Commercial Plumbing Repairs: Tightening and loosening heavy-gauge galvanized iron (GI) pipes, black iron water supply conduits, and plumbing unions.
- Oil & Gas Line Maintenance: Assembling high-pressure threaded pipe fittings, drilling manifolds, and heavy utility structural sleeves on industrial fields.
- Civil Infrastructure Construction: Installing municipal water distribution pipelines, deep well casing assemblies, and subterranean drainage systems.
- Mechanical Plant Operations: Loosening frozen or heavily rusted threaded pump couplers, large machinery studs, and heavy commercial valve bodies.
Usage
:- Wipe away loose sludge, slippery grease, or excessive moisture from the target pipe surface and the wrench teeth profile.
- Spin the knurled thumb adjustment nut until the drop-forged 55 carbon steel jaws open wider than the diameter of the pipe.
- Place the open wrench head squarely over the cylindrical pipe, leaving a slight gap between the pipe circumference and the back throat of the wrench to allow the spring-loaded pivoting jaw action to bite correctly.
- Turn the thumb adjustment nut back down until the upper hook jaw teeth make flush structural contact with the pipe surface.
- Apply steady downward manual force on the ductile cast iron handle beam. The angled jaw teeth will engage automatically, transforming your pulling force into a slip-free, positive mechanical grip.
- To reverse the rotation direction, flip the entire tool frame over so the hook jaw teeth pull down toward the direction of intended thread rotation.
