This 24V 250W PMDC Geared Motor is engineered for high torque, low-speed applications such as electric bicycles, DIY e-scooters, and custom robotics. Built with a permanent magnet direct current (PMDC) brushed motor coupled with a 9.78:1 internal reduction gearbox, it delivers strong rotational force while maintaining low power consumption. Equipped with a pre-installed 9-tooth sprocket compatible with standard #410 bicycle chains, this motor provides steady power delivery and seamless bi-directional rotation by swapping input polarity. Its integrated mounting base plate allows straightforward bolt-on setup across various vehicle frames and project chassis.

Usage

Mount the motor base securely onto your vehicle frame or custom bracket using M6 bolts.
Align the 9-tooth sprocket with your wheel or drive axle sprocket and loop a #410 bicycle chain around them.
Connect the motor supply wires to a 24V DC brush motor speed controller capable of handling at least 15A.
Wire a 24V DC battery power source to the motor controller.
Test rotation; if the motor spins in reverse, swap the positive and negative lead connections.

Maintenance

Visual Inspection: Weekly check for any hydraulic fluid sweating or leakage along the main 43mm mirror pipe.
Debris Clearing: Clean away accumulated mud, sand, and dust from the outer spring coils to prevent scratches on the internal seals.
Lubrication Maintenance: Spray a light layer of anti-rust lubricant over the exposed metal portions during seasonal rainy months.
Bush & Bolt Check: Periodically check the mounting assembly bolts and internal rubber dampening bushes for signs of compression cracking.
