Description
  • The Taparia 928 is a flat/slotted-tip hand screwdriver designed for general-purpose and industrial use. It has a long, solid steel blade with a premium-quality, transparent green handle made of cellulose acetate plastic for durability and grip. The tool is designed to deliver reliable torque and wear resistance, and the blade tip is magnetized to help with handling screws.

Features

 :
  • Durable and wear-resistant thanks to high-grade steel and hardened tip.
  • Magnetized tip makes it easier to handle small screws.
  • High torque capacity.
  • Robust handle that can take hammer strikes.
  • Good corrosion resistance via plating.

Applications

 :
  • General Mechanical Work : Useful for large slotted screws in machines, appliances, metal enclosures, etc., because of its long blade and strong torque capacity.
  • Electrical / Electronics : Though not insulated, its magnetic tip helps when working with small screws in electrical panels or devices.
  • Construction / Maintenance : Can be used to open or fix equipment, panels, or casings where slotted screws are used.
  • DIY & Workshop : Suitable for carpentry, furniture, and other workshop tasks requiring a long flat screwdriver.
  • Industrial Use : In factories or workshops where durable screwdrivers are needed due to high torque / repeated usage.

Usage

 :
Maintenance & Care :

Clean After Use :
  • Wipe the blade after use to remove grease, oil, or any debris.
  • Use a dry cloth; for stubborn grime, a mild solvent (compatible with steel) works.

Prevent Rust :
  • Although it has a nickel-chrome plating, it's good practice to lightly oil the blade occasionally to prevent rust, especially if used in humid or corrosive environments.

Inspect the Tip :
  • Check the tip periodically for wear or deformation. If the tip is rounded or chipped, its effectiveness will reduce, and it could damage screws.
  • If the tip is severely worn, consider replacing the screwdriver.

Store Properly :
  • Store in a dry toolbox or on a rack — avoid leaving it loosely in damp or high-humidity areas.
  • Avoid storing it with highly acidic or basic chemicals that could damage the handle or blade.

Use Correctly :
  • Use the correct size screwdriver for screws — don’t force a 10 mm flat tip into a much smaller slot.
  • When striking, use a hammer suited for tool striking and avoid excessive force to protect the handle and blade.

Re-magnetization (Optional) :
  • If the magnetic tip loses strength over time, you can re-magnetize it using a small magnetizing tool or a strong magnet.
