Description
A shallow well jet pump is a type of jet pump specifically designed to draw water from shallow wells and to give best hydraulic efficiency and suction lift characteristics. These pumps are mounted above ground and are non-submersible, making them suitable for applications where the water source is relatively close to the surface. Before starting a shallow well jet pump, it must be primed to ensure there is no air in the pump housing. Priming involves filling the priming vent with water until it reaches the top of the vent. Once primed, turn on the power to start the pump. The impeller creates suction that pulls water up through the suction pipe and into the pump, where it is pressurized and then delivered for various applications.
