Description
The Polymak 300mm Cable Cutter (Model HT-P-CC-300) is a professional-grade manual shearing tool explicitly engineered to deliver clean, precise, and effortless cuts through heavy-duty electrical cables and multi-strand wiring profiles. Precision manufactured from high-tensile drop-forged alloy steel, these heavy-duty jaws offer exceptional structural toughness and ultimate resistance against edge deformation under immense mechanical compression. Through an advanced heat-treatment process, the specialized sickle-shaped shearing jaws achieve a 50 - 60 HRC hardness rating.
Features
:- Drop-Forged Alloy Steel Jaws: Forged from premium structural tool steel under immense pressure to ensure maximum grain density and exceptional resilience against cracking.
- 50 - 60 HRC Hardness Profile: Precision heat-treated cutting edges achieve an ultra-tough 50 - 60 HRC rating to slice through dense multi-core wiring cleanly without dulling.
- Curved Shearing Geometry: Sickle-style jaw architecture encircles the wire core during compression, maintaining cable roundness and eliminating wire deformation.
- 300mm High-Leverage Handle Frame: Measures exactly 300 mm in length, featuring optimized handle arcs that transfer maximum user torque into pure mechanical cutting force.
- Rust-Resistant Surface: Treated with an industrial anti-corrosion finish to guard the forged steel surfaces against humidity, grease, and adverse jobsite weather.
Applications
:- Electrical Utility Works: Slicing heavy-gauge aluminum and copper power lines, service entrance conductors, and primary feed lines.
- Telecommunications Installation: Cutting thick multi-pair communication lines, armored telephone bundles, and underground data cables.
- Industrial Panel Building: Slicing large-diameter electrical cables inside power distribution networks and heavy industrial panels.
- General Construction & Contracting: Cutting high-volume wiring runs, ground copper rods, PVC-coated wiring paths, and dense rubber-insulated lines.
Usage
:- Wipe any excessive moisture, dirt, or tracking grime off the target electrical cable and matching cutter blade surfaces before executing a cut.
- Pull the tool handles completely apart to open the 50 - 60 HRC alloy steel curved jaws to their widest clearance.
- Place the target electrical cable completely down into the base throat cavity of the open jaws, ensuring the wire sits squarely within the blade contour.
- Position your hands at the outer base ends of the cutter handles to achieve the highest possible mechanical advantage.
- Squeeze the handle arms steadily together using compressed manual pressure until the curved jaws shear cleanly through the cable insulation and core.
- Clean the blade surfaces with a dry cloth after use and store the tool systematically inside a toolbox or tool chest drawer to protect the cutting face.
