Description
The Toshweld ARC 400 IJ is a heavy-duty industrial inverter manual metal arc (MMA/Stick) welding machine designed for thick metal structure engineering, shipyard deployment, and continuous manufacture. It produces an unwavering, spatter-free welding arc over a dynamic output current range of 30 to 400 Amps thanks to a high-capacity, integrated IGBT Module switching network. Heavy industrial electrode rod sizes up to 6.0mm are easily handled by this machine, which runs on a three-phase 415V AC line with an ideal 0.93 power factor. With a sturdy four-wheel transportable cabinet chassis and separate analog tuning controls for Hot Start and Arc Force, it offers code-compliant, deep-penetration welds on carbon steel and alloy steel plates up to 40 mm thick.
Features
:- Heavy Industrial IGBT Module Technology: Under extended, continuous production shifts, integrated high-capacity switching modules offer optimal arc stability and reduced thermal breakdown.
- Dual Parameter Adjustment Knobs: These have separate analog dials for Arc Force (to regulate puddle agitation and keep welding rods from freezing) and Hot Start (for smooth arc striking).
- Massive 40mm Plate Fusion: Designed to preserve radiographic-quality, deep fusion on thick steel plates ranging in size from 2.0mm to a massive 40.0mm.
- High-Conductivity Bolt Output Terminals: To guarantee a secure, arc-free connection under a full 400A load, these terminals are outfitted with threaded heavy copper studs and tightening bolts rather than conventional twist sockets.
Applications
:- Continuous stick welding on thick I-beams, crane runway girders, bridge structures, and factory frames are examples of heavy structural infrastructure.
- Repairing worn-out carbon-steel shovel buckets on excavators, concrete mixers, and mining rigs is known as heavy plant machinery repair.
- Deep-penetration root, fill, and cap welding passes on thick-walled chemical reactors and gas line networks are used in pipeline and pressure vessel fabrication.
- Shipyard Production: Enabling smooth multi-pass butt welds on thick marine structural hull platings with a large power footprint.
Usage
:- Before attaching the power source input wires, confirm that your workshop's infrastructure offers a reliable, grounded three-phase AC 415V primary circuit.
- Using the proper wrench, firmly fasten your cable lug rings clockwise onto the front positive (+) and negative (-) threaded copper studs.
- Attach the grounding return clamp straight to a part of the target steel plate that has been thoroughly cleaned and free of any corrosion, paint layers, mill scale, or grease.
- To choose your goal output Amps using your welding rod gauge, turn on the primary breaker, view the active digital displays, and adjust the dial parameters.
- When performing out-of-position structural seams, use the adjustable Hot Start and Arc Force knobs clockwise to ensure quick arc striking and smooth metal puddle flow.
