Description
The Polymak 3200 Watt 355 mm Concrete Cutter (PM355RS) is a powerful tool designed for efficient cutting of concrete, tiles, and stone. With its robust motor and smooth operation, it excels in heavy-duty applications like wall chasing. This cutter ensures precision and durability, making it ideal for both professional contractors and DIY enthusiasts.
Features
:- Extreme Power : Boasts a heavy duty 3200 Watt motor that provides high torque for cutting through high density concrete and masonry without stalling.
- Large Cutting Capacity : Compatible with 355 mm (14 inch) blades, allowing for deep cuts suitable for wall openings and thick slabs.
- High Speed RPM : Operates at 4800 RPM, ensuring faster cutting speeds and cleaner edges compared to lower speed models.
- Indoor Friendly : Being an electric unit, it produces no exhaust fumes, making it safer for indoor use compared to petrol cutters.
- Manageable Weight : At approximately 14 kg, it is lighter than many competitors in its class, reducing user fatigue during vertical wall cutting.
Applications
:The Polymak PM355RS is versatile and built for :
- Wall Cutting : Creating openings for windows, doors, and HVAC ducts in brick or concrete walls.
- Floor Sawing : Cutting expansion joints in concrete floors or removing damaged sections of flooring.
- Masonry Work : Sizing stone, granite, and building blocks.
- Indoor Demolition : Ideal for enclosed spaces where gas powered saws cannot be used due to fumes.
Usage
:User Instructions :
1. Safety Check : Wear heavy gloves, eye protection, ear defenders, and a dust mask.
2. Blade Installation : Unplug the tool. Mount a 355mm diamond blade specifically designed for the material you are cutting (wet or dry). Tighten the flange securely.
3. Power Connection : Plug the unit into a 230V power outlet. Ensure the extension cord is rated for high wattage (3200W) to prevent voltage drops.
4. Positioning : Grip the handles firmly. Align the blade with your marked cut line.
5. Engage : Squeeze the trigger and allow the motor to reach full 4800 RPM before touching the surface.
6. Cutting : Slowly plunge or push the blade into the material. Let the saw do the work; do not apply excessive force which could overload the motor.
7. Finish : Withdraw the blade from the cut while it is still spinning, then release the trigger.
Maintenance :
- Carbon Brushes : This is the most common maintenance item. Check brushes regularly. If sparks are visible or the motor cuts out, replace the carbon brushes immediately.
- Dust Control : Concrete dust is abrasive. After every use, blow compressed air through the motor vents to prevent dust buildup on internal coils.
- Blade Care : Inspect the blade for warping or missing segments. A dull blade forces the motor to work harder, leading to overheating.
- Gearbox : Check the gearbox for unusual noises or heat. Regrease the gears periodically as per the manufacturer's manual.
- Cord Inspection : Ensure the power cord is free of cuts or exposed wires, as this tool draws significant current and a damaged cord is a fire hazard.
