Description
The Hukums HBVC125 5-Inch Heavy Duty Fixed Base Bench Vice is an essential industrial workholding asset built for demanding engineering garages, fabrication units, metalworking shops, and maintenance facilities. Cast from premium structural iron, this robust 14 kg machine tool provides a dense, solid footprint that naturally dampens heavy mechanical vibrations and absorbs major impacts, preventing cracking or structural shifting during high-torque applications. The vice comes equipped with precision-machined jaw plates featuring hardened serrated steel teeth that bite firmly into flat bars, wooden blocks, metal pipes, and rods to entirely eliminate component slippage.
Features
:- Hardened Serrated Steel Jaws: Deeply grooved steel faceplates deliver an uncompromising, non-slip mechanical bite on flat, square, or cylindrical profiles.
- Vibration-Free Fixed Base: Rigid bolt-down base profile seats flat to the workbench surface to deliver absolute operational stability and alignment accuracy.
- Fluid Manual Spindle Screw: Designed with an easy-to-turn lead screw spindle for low-friction opening, closing, and incremental pressure control.
- Rust-Resistant Powder Coating: Baked-on protective powder coat shields the cast iron body from ambient moisture, workshop grease, and surface abrasions.
- 14 Kg Industrial-Grade Foundation: Optimally weighted structure balances heavy bench stability with workspace efficiency for daily fabrication cycles.
Applications
:- Steady workpiece holding during intense filing, deburring, polishing, and manual shaping.
- Rigid workholding on machine benches for drilling, tapping, assembly modifications, and part fittings.
- Fixed material stabilization for layout tracking, precision tack welding, and component brazing.
- General mechanical restorations, component overhauls, and automotive maintenance configurations.
Usage
:- Retract the Moving Jaw: Turn the manual lead handle counter-clockwise to expand the jaws wide enough to accommodate your targeted workpiece volume.
- Position the Material: Rest the metal or wood piece deep and flush within the throat of the jaws to distribute clamping pressures evenly.
- Tighten to Secure: Turn the main spindle screw handle clockwise; apply progressive manual leverage until the hardened serrated teeth grip the object firmly.
- Maintain the Lead Screw: After finishing, brush off abrasive metallic filings and hot cutting scales from the screw tracks, and periodically apply general machine grease to ensure low-friction operation.
