- Pull the starter rope briskly to start the engine.
- Squeeze the clutch handle to engage the blades. This will start rotating them, allowing you to begin tilling.
- To move forward, hold down the clutch while guiding the tiller in your desired direction. Adjust your grip on the handles to control depth and direction; pulling up on one handle can help turn or pivot.
- For deeper tilling, allow the tines to dig in place before moving forward. You can also reverse if needed by shifting into reverse gear while holding down the clutch.
- To stop, release the clutch handle. Ensure that you shift back into neutral before shutting off.
- Turn off the engine following proper procedures outlined in your manual. This usually involves switching off fuel supply and allowing it to idle for a moment before turning off completely.
