Usage
:- Install the valve vertically within 5 degrees from true vertical for optimal float function, securing the riser with straps or post supports.
- Connect the valve to the pipeline using a riser with internal diameter equal or greater than valve orifice, through fittings like threaded sockets, tees, or tapping saddles.
- Place the valve near pipeline bends or elbows where air tends to accumulate, or add a tee to capture and direct air into the valve.
- For systems that fill and drain often, use a collection chamber or large riser (2-3 times valve area) to improve air capture and valve function.
- Regularly flush and maintain the valve to ensure proper air venting and prevent clogging, enhancing irrigation system efficiency and protecting pipes and emitters.
