Usage
:- Step 1: Disconnect the vehicle's ignition key and securely chock the front tire before lifting the rear axle with a hydraulic jack stand.
- Step 2: Loosen the wheel lug nuts, pull off the outer wheel assembly, and slide off the 160mm brake drum housing cover to expose the shoes.
- Step 3: Use a specialized spring-hook mechanic tool to unclamp the heavy-duty retention return springs from the old worn plates.
- Step 4: Clear away abrasive black lining dust from the backing plate and expanding cam pin mechanism using an approved brake cleaner solvent spray.
- Step 5: Apply a minute trace of specialized high-temperature brake grease over the sliding metal anchor tips, avoiding any contact with the new friction faces.
- Step 6: Position the new CY Gold 160mm Brake Shoes firmly over the anchor pins, reattach the retention springs, slide the drum cover back over, adjust the cable tensioner rod, and perform a rotational check.
