Description
For dependable 225A output on 220V single-phase power, the Weldtron ARC-225 boasts a small single PCB design with twin 40N60 IGBT modules and dual 6030 fast-recovery diodes. For welding mild steel, stainless steel, and cast iron electrodes up to 5.0mm, this inverter technology offers smooth arc characteristics, superior ignition, and less spatter. Compared to multi-PCB welders, the single board structure reduces connection failures and streamlines serviceability. Ideal for field service, repair shops, and professional fabricators who need portable high-amperage performance.
Features
:- Arc stability and high-frequency switching are guaranteed by dual 40N60 IGBTs (600V/40A).
- For optimal efficiency, dual 6030 diodes offer low-loss rectification.
- Reliability is increased and wiring complexity is decreased with a single PCB architecture.
- 2.5–5.0mm electrodes for heavy fabrication are handled by the 225A output capacity.
- Compared to transformers, advanced inverter technology reduces power usage by 30–40%.
- Arc striking on soiled or rusty objects is enhanced by the hot-start feature.
- During short circuits, anti-stick keeps electrodes from freezing.
- Its small size—less than 6 kg—makes it incredibly portable.
- Continuous workshop operation is supported by fan-cooled thermal protection.
Applications
:- In workshops, structural welding and steel fabrication are done.
- Upkeep and repair of industrial gear.
- Installation of pipelines and construction of pressure vessels.
- Repair of large machinery and automobile chassis.
Usage
:- Attach the earth clamp firmly to the spotless surface of the workpiece.
- Place the electrode in the holder and adjust the current to 80–120A for 2.5–3.2mm and 160–225A for 4.0–5.0mm.
- For penetration control, strike the arc at an angle of 60 to 70 degrees while keeping the arc length between two and three millimeters.
- For challenging ignitions, use hot-start; anti-stick instantly releases electrodes that are stuck.
