Description
Ensure uninterrupted power with this reliable ATS, perfectly sized for 3kVA generators. It automatically detects mains failure and seamlessly switches to generator power, then safely shuts down the generator upon utility return. Essential for homes, small shops, and offices requiring constant electricity
Features
:- Fully Automatic Operation : Seamlessly switches power sources without manual intervention.
- Dual Power Priority : Automatically manages switching between utility mains and generator.
- Safety Interlocking : Mechanical and electrical interlocks prevent simultaneous connection to both sources.
- Overload Protection : Built-in safeguards to protect the connected load and generator.
- Compact Design : Easy to mount and install near the main distribution board.
Applications
:- Residential Homes : Essential for backup power during outages.
- Small Offices/Shops : Keeps critical systems (computers, lighting, security) running.
- Clinics and Laboratories : Maintains power for refrigeration and medical equipment.
- Telecommunications : Ensures continuous power for small relay systems.
Usage
:User Instructions :
- Installation : The ATS must be installed by a certified electrician between the utility mains, the generator output, and your home's main distribution board (DB).
- Wiring : The ATS terminals connect the incoming mains supply, the generator's power output (requires an auto-start generator), and the load circuits.
- Operation (Automatic) : When utility power fails, the ATS controller waits a set delay (usually 3-5 seconds), signals the generator to start, and once the generator reaches stable voltage, the ATS switches the load to the generator.
- Utility Return : When mains power is restored, the ATS switches the load back to the utility, signals the generator to cool down, and then shuts it off.
Maintenance :
- Annual Inspection : Have a qualified technician inspect the wiring, terminal connections, and mechanical linkages once a year.
- Cleaning : Ensure the enclosure is kept clean and free from dust and debris to prevent overheating.
- Test Runs : Periodically test the unit by simulating a power outage (safely) to ensure the automatic transfer and generator start/stop functions are working correctly.
- Check Indicators : Monitor the status lights (Mains ON, Generator ON, Load) to ensure they accurately reflect the operating condition.
- Tighten Connections : Check that all power connections remain tight, as loose connections can cause arcing and overheating.
