Description
The EBC-A20 is a high-performance, multi-functional battery charge and discharge capacity tester designed for 30V lithium, lead-acid, LiFePO4, and ternary lithium batteries. Featuring a maximum discharge current of 20A, continuous discharge power of 85W, and 5A charging capability, it is engineered for precise capacity analysis and cell performance testing. Built with advanced four-wire Kelvin detection, it measures voltage and current through separate channels to eliminate cable resistance, ensuring accurate results down to 0.003V. The instrument includes a backlit LCD display and supports PC connection via a USB-to-TTL serial cable. With the dedicated PC online software, users can program automated charge-discharge-charge cycles, generate detailed real-time voltage/current curves, calibrate benchmarks, and upgrade device firmware.
Features
:- 4-Wire Kelvin Detection: Separates voltage measurement and current delivery channels to negate lead resistance for precise testing accuracy.
- Automatic Cycling Mode: Supports programmable "Charge-Discharge-Charge" auto-cycling to evaluate full battery capacity effortlessly.
- High Discharge Power: Handles up to 20A high-current discharge with a maximum continuous power limit of 85W.
- Multi-Chemistry Compatibility: Performs testing on Lithium-ion, LiFePO4, ternary lithium, and lead-acid batteries.
- PC Software Control: Connects via a dedicated USB-to-TTL serial cable to plot real-time discharge curves, record data, and perform firmware updates.
- Backlit LCD Interface: Displays critical test data simultaneously, including real-time voltage, current, capacity (Ah/mAh), elapsed time, power (W), and energy (Wh).
- Versatile Operating Modes: Supports Constant Current Discharge (DSC-CC), Constant Power Discharge (DSC-CP), and Constant Voltage Charge (CHG-CV) modes.
Applications
:- Capacity grading and health verification for DIY lithium battery packs.
- Testing capacity and discharge performance of 12V / 24V lead-acid batteries.
- Solar energy storage battery cell testing and matching.
- E-bike, power tool, and scooter battery pack internal resistance/capacity evaluation.
- Laboratory research, electronic repair shops, and quality assurance inspection.
Usage
:- Plug the tester into an appropriate DC power source (DC 19V-20V, ≥3.5A).
- Connect the four-wire test line aviation plugs firmly to the front panel sockets.
- Attach the positive and negative test clamps to the corresponding terminals of the target battery (observe proper polarity).
- Use the control panel buttons (SET, INC, DEC) to configure discharge mode (DSC-CC / DSC-CP), cutoff voltage, and discharge current.
- Press the ON/START button to begin testing, or connect the USB-to-TTL cable to a PC to control and record tests via the EB Tester software.
Maintenance
:- Keep the cooling vents clear and clean the internal fan periodically to prevent overheating during high-power 85W discharges.
- Check test lead connections regularly to ensure low-resistance contact with battery terminals.
- Store the tester in a dry, dust-free environment away from direct sunlight and moisture.
- Avoid exposing the unit to input voltages or discharge power exceeding specified safety limits.
