Description
The Chimertech Bovine Brucella Antibody Rapid Test Kit is a professional-grade, field-ready lateral flow immunochromatographic assay designed for the qualitative detection of Brucella antibodies in cattle and buffaloes. Brucellosis is a highly contagious zoonotic disease that serves as a primary driver for infectious abortion, retained placenta, and infertility in livestock. This 20-test pack provides an efficient on-site screening solution that bypasses long laboratory wait times, delivering highly accurate results in just 20 minutes. Early screening allows dairy managers, farmers, and veterinarians to implement timely isolation, vaccination, and biosecurity protocols, effectively preventing the spread of infection through livestock and safeguarding the surrounding human food supply chain from contaminated milk and meat products.
Features
:- Rapid On-Farm Diagnostics: Delivers highly accurate results directly on-site within 20 minutes, eliminating laboratory delays.
- Dual-Species Screening: Engineered primarily for cattle and buffalo management, ensuring wide utility across dairy and beef operations.
- Early Infertility Intervention: Identifies Brucella exposure early to mitigate reproductive issues like infectious abortion and herd infertility.
- Food Safety Protection: Acts as a vital screening tool to stop the cross-contamination of raw milk and commercial meat products.
- Complete Testing Bundle: Packaged as a comprehensive 20-test kit to allow routine or multi-animal herd screening cycles.
Applications
:- Routine on-farm screening of dairy herds to clear animals before mass milking processes.
- Veterinary clinic diagnostics for breeding cattle displaying signs of repeat breeding or unexplained infertility.
- Quarantine screening for new livestock acquisitions before introducing them to an established herd.
- Pre-vaccination health assessments to identify infected individuals within a livestock group.
- Epidemiological tracking and biosecurity compliance checking across regional livestock farms.
Usage
:- Collect a fresh sample of whole blood, serum, or plasma from the animal.
- Carefully add 1 drop of the collected sample without any air bubbles into the designated sample well of the test cassette.
- Immediately add 2 drops of the provided sample diluent buffer into the same sample well.
- Allow the liquid to flow across the test window, wait exactly 20 minutes, and interpret the visual line results (Positive: Two lines appear; Negative: Only the Control line appears).
Maintenance
:- Keep the kit components securely stored inside their original packaging at a controlled temperature range between 4 and 15 degrees Celsius.
- Do not freeze the test cassettes or expose the reagents to direct sunlight or moisture.
- Ensure the aluminum foil pouches remain completely sealed until the exact moment of testing, and always use the cassette within 1 hour of opening.
- Check the expiration date printed on the box before conducting tests to guarantee maximum biological sensitivity.
- Discard all used test devices, capillary tubes, and biological samples safely in accordance with local biohazard pollutant treatment regulations
