Description
The Insize 1110-300B Digital Caliper is a heavy-duty, industrial-grade measuring tool made for a maximum range of 300 mm. This model is highly specialized because of its Carbide-Tipped Lower Jaws, which are made for measuring abrasive materials (like raw castings, ceramics, or carbon fiber) that would quickly wear down standard stainless steel jaws.
Features
:- Carbide-Tipped Jaws: The lower measuring faces are reinforced with Tungsten Carbide, making them extremely wear-resistant
- Hardened Stainless Steel: The main body and beam are made of high-quality hardened stainless steel for longevity and a smooth sliding feel.
- Automatic Power: Features "Move-to-Wake" technology; simply slide the digital unit to turn the power on. It includes an auto-off feature to save the CR2032 battery.
Applications
:- Foundry & Castings: Measuring raw metal castings that have a gritty, abrasive surface.
- Grinding Shops: Checking dimensions of parts directly after grinding while abrasive dust may still be present.
- Abrasive Materials: Measuring glass-filled plastics, ceramics, or carbon fiber components that would quickly dull standard steel jaws.
- Scriber Use: The hardness of the carbide tips allows the caliper to be used for light "scribing" or marking on metal surfaces without damaging the tool.
