Description
The Reliant Lab Dip Circle (Wooden Case) is a classic, high precision laboratory instrument designed to measure the Angle of Dip with maximum stability. Unlike all metal versions, this model features a premium seasoned wood enclosure that serves as a non conductive and non-magnetic housing, effectively shielding the magnetic needle from air currents and electrostatic interference. Inside the glass fronted wooden cabinet, a highly magnetized needle is balanced on low friction bearings.
Features
:- Seasoned Wood Construction: The main housing is crafted from high-quality, polished seasoned wood, ensuring zero magnetic interference and high structural stability.
- High Sensitivity Needle: Equipped with a thin, balanced magnetic needle mounted on friction less agate or synthetic jewel bearings for precise vertical oscillation.
- Twin Glass Windows: Features front and rear glass panels that allow for clear, parallax free observation of both ends of the needle.
- Dual Axis Graduation: Includes a vertical silvered scale for dip angles and a horizontal base scale for determining the magnetic meridian.
Applications
:- Measuring Earth's Inclination
- Resolving Magnetic Components
- Demonstrating Magnetic Latitude
- Stability Studies
- Advanced Physics Practicles
