Description
The Reliant Lab Resistance Box (Plug Type) is a cornerstone of electrical measurement in physics and engineering laboratories. The instrument utilizes the "Short-Circuit" method: heavy brass plugs are inserted into tapered sockets between thick brass blocks. When a plug is in place, the current flows through the low resistance brass; when removed, it is diverted through a precision wound Manganin or Constantan coil housed beneath the ebonite plate. Enclosed in a seasoned teak wood case, these boxes offer the perfect blend of traditional craftsmanship and scientific precision.
Features
:- Precision Manganin Coils: Internal resistors are wound with high quality Manganin wire, which features a near-zero temperature coefficient, ensuring resistance remains stable regardless of thermal changes.
- Non Inductive Winding: Coils are wound using a double back non inductive technique to eliminate parasitic inductance, making the box accurate for both DC and low frequency AC circuits.
- Tapered Interchangeable Plugs: Equipped with accurately ground, tapered brass plugs with insulated heads, ensuring a tight mechanical fit and a negligible resistance electrical contact.
Applications
:- Wheatstone Bridge Calibration
- Potentiometer Gradient Adjustment
- Internal Resistance of Cells
- Specific Resistance Calculation
