Usage
:
Preparation: Ensure the steamer is clean. Lightly grease the idli molds to prevent sticking.
Batter: Pour your prepared idli batter into the greased molds, filling them about two-thirds full.
Stacking: Carefully stack the trays of filled molds inside the steamer.
Water: Add the required amount of water to the base of the steamer. The level should be below the bottom tray.
Gas Operation: Place the steamer on a gas stove and light the burner. Maintain a medium flame.
Steaming: Cover the steamer tightly with its lid. Steam for the recommended time (usually 10-15 minutes, but may vary based on your batter and steamer).
Checking Doneness: After the steaming time, insert a knife or toothpick into an idli. If it comes out clean, the idlis are cooked.
Cooling: Turn off the gas and let the steamer stand for a couple of minutes to allow the idlis to set.
Removing Idlis: Carefully remove the trays. Use a spoon or a blunt knife to gently scoop out the soft and fluffy idlis from the molds.
