Short Description
Reliant Lab Goldleaf Electroscope in Glass Flask
For Demonstration of Electrostatic Induction
For Demonstration of Electrostatic Induction
Country of origin: India
Specifications
- Brand: Reliant Lab
- Rod : Metal Rod
- Rod hold by : Rubber Stopper in a conical flask
Description
The apparatus consists of a high quality, transparent Erlenmeyer-style glass flask that serves as a protective, draft free enclosure. A vertical brass rod passes through a highly insulating rubber or velvet bung at the neck of the flask. At the top of the rod, a horizontal brass disc is attached to receive charges. At the lower end, inside the flask, two extremely thin and light strips of genuine gold leaf are suspended. When a charged object is brought near or in contact with the top disc, the leaves acquire the same charge and repel each other, with the angle of separation indicating the intensity of the charge.
Features
:- High Sensitivity Gold Leaves: Equipped with genuine, ultra thin gold leaves that respond to even the smallest amounts of static electricity due to their low mass.
- Superior Insulation: Features a high resistance bush at the flask's neck to prevent charge leakage to the container.
- Brass Disc Terminal: A large surface area brass disc at the top facilitates easy charging by induction or conduction.
- Internal Earth Strips: Usually includes interior metal foil strips connected to the ground to increase the sensitivity and stability of the leaves.
Applications
:- Detection of Electric Charge
- Testing Insulators and Conductors
- Demonstration of Electrostatic Induction
- Measurement of Potential Difference
