Usage
:- Prepare the dough: Make a soft dough. It should be softer than a typical chapati dough.
- Lightly oil the plates: Before you begin, you can lightly grease the top and bottom plates of the press to prevent the dough from sticking. You can use wax paper, placing one on the bottom plate and one on top of the dough.
- Place the dough: Take a small, golf-ball-sized portion of dough and flatten it slightly with your palm. Place this dough ball on the lower plate, typically in the center, as this helps create a more perfect circle when pressed.
- Press the dough: Lower the top plate onto the dough and gently press down on the handle. The weight and leverage of the iron body will flatten the dough into a thin, round poori.
- Remove and fry: Carefully lift the top plate and peel the flattened dough from the press. The poori is now ready to be deep-fried until golden and puffy.
