Usage
:- Step 1: Disconnect the primary vehicle ignition safety switch, chock the front steering wheel, and lift the rear axle using a hydraulic floor jack.
- Step 2: Unscrew the outer wheel lug nuts and slide the entire tire and rim assembly off the hub studs.
- Step 3: Back off the brake adjuster rod nut slightly to allow the internal brake shoes to collapse, then slide the old worn brake drum off the drive axle shaft.
- Step 4: Wipe down the expanding cam mechanism, axle splines, and brake shoe surfaces using an approved lint-free brake cleaning spray.
- Step 5: Slide the new CY Gold 160mm Brake Drum cleanly over the axle, matching the internal keyway slot perfectly with the axle drive key pin.
- Step 6: Re-mount the wheel rim onto the 4 pre-installed studs, tighten the lug nuts to specification, dial in the brake cable adjustment rod, and spin the wheel manually to confirm free rotation.
