Usage

 :
Mode of Action
  • Spore Ingestion: Larvae ingest Bt spores along with plant material.
  • Spore Activation: In the larval gut, spores dissolve, releasing protein crystals.
  • Protoxin Activation: Gut enzymes convert crystals to active Bt toxins.
  • Binding: Toxins bind to midgut cells, forming pores.
  • Cell Lysis: Pores cause cell membranes to burst, disrupting digestion.
  • Death: Starvation and death follow.
Application
  • Gardening: 5-10 ml per liter of water.
  • Agriculture: 1-2 liters per acre.
Precautions
  • Apply 2-3 days before chemical pesticides for effective control of young larvae.
  • Optimal application temperature is above 18°C; best results are achieved when spraying in the evening or at temperatures above 30°C.
  • Reapply every 10-15 days for continuous control.
