Usage

• Zero Setting of the Scales should be checked before Moisture Meter is used. This can be done by placing the test cup in the housing and adjust the plunger till it touches the inner bottom of the test cup.
• Circular Scale : To adjust this scale
• Unscrew the top hexagonal screw
• Lift the scale, adjust as necessary and tighten the screw.
• The commodity to be tested is identified in the thickness setting chart.
• A sample is taken by volume cups (A, B, C) as mentioned in the thickness setting chart and transferred into the test cup, the cup is placed in the lower housing in to the compression unit.
• The sample is compressed to the specified thickness with the help of the ratchet handle. The thickness is read both on the circular and vertical scale.
• Press the switch and wait until the countdown is over and the moisture percentage reading is displayed.
• Release the pressure, take out the test cup, remove the sample from the test cup and place it back in the housing after cleaning it with a soft cloth or brush.
• For obtaining optimum results, repeat the steps 2-5 and then average the readings.
