Description
The Reliant Lab Nodal Slide Assembly (Complete with Steel C.P. Rod Optical Bench) is a precision optical tool used to determine the focal length and cardinal points (nodal points) of a lens or a combination of lenses. The assembly is built around a heavy-duty Steel C.P. (Chrome Plated) optical bench, which gives a smooth, rust-free track for the riders (uprights). This setup is essential for experiments involving thick lenses where the principal planes do not coincide with the lens surfaces. It contain NODAL UPRIGHT, MIRROR, OPTICAL SLIT, LAMP HOUSE.
Features
:- Rust-Proof Construction: High-grade steel rods with heavy chrome plating (C.P.) ensure long-lasting durability and frictionless sliding.
- Adjustable Lens Carriers: Includes both single and double lens holders with rack-and-pinion arrangements for smooth longitudinal adjustment.
- Integrated Light Source: Comes with a specialized Lamp House and a cross-slit for clear image projection.
Applications
:- Focal Length Determination: Measuring the focal length of thick lenses and lens combinations.
- Cardinal Points Location: Identifying the position of nodal points and principal planes.
- Lens Combination Study: Verifying the formula for the combined focal length of two separated lenses
- Optics Education: A standard experimental setup for B.Sc. Physics, Engineering Physics, and advanced optics courses.
