Description
The Toshweld TIG/ARC 400 Sumo is a high-end, high-capacity industrial dual-process inverter welding station designed for heavy-duty stick (MMA/ARC) and high-precision TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) operations. This heavy-duty device offers a highly polished, low-spatter arc over a dynamic output current range of 7 to 400 Amps thanks to its sophisticated, continuous-duty IGBT inverter core. It uses specialist High-Frequency (HF) arc ignition for a non-contact arc start to prevent contamination of the workpiece and tungsten while operating smoothly on an industrial three-phase 415V AC line with an amazing 18.2 kVA input capacity. The Sumo model offers perfect structural penetration and clean sheet-metal connections on stainless steel, carbon steel, and low-alloy plates up to 20mm thick. It is housed in a sturdy mobile cabinet with heavy-duty caster wheels.
Features
:- Dual-Process Performance: Using a specialized front-panel rocker switch, it effortlessly switches between heavy structural stick (ARC/MMA) electrode welding and precision TIG welding.
- Non-touch HF Ignition: High-frequency arc initiation keeps your tungsten sharp and reduces weld inclusions by enabling instantaneous arc production without physical touch.
- Comprehensive Parameter Dial Array: Contains specialized front-panel control potentiometers to individually adjust arc force dynamics, post-flow gas delivery, downslope time, and welding current.
- Extreme thermal efficiency, outstanding duty cycle capabilities, and instant arc compensation against line drops are all provided by the Industrial IGBT Module Core.
- Heavy-Duty Mobile Chassis: Designed to negotiate busy factory floors with ease, this chassis has a sturdy layout, two sturdy top handles, and heavy-duty four-wheel shop casters.
Applications
:- Stick welding large I-beams, channel steel sections, angle iron frameworks, and building constructions are examples of heavy structural construction.
- High-penetration root, fill, and cap passes on thick-walled industrial pipelines and pressure storage vessels are used in the fabrication of industrial pipelines and vessels.
- Precision Stainless Steel Manufacturing: Superior TIG welding on chemical tanks, industrial exhaust networks, and hygienic food processing equipment.
- Heavy machinery maintenance includes repairing and strengthening worn parts on material crushers, structural tractor mounts, and earthmoving excavators.
Usage
:- Before launching the system, confirm that the infrastructure of your production plant has a reliable, grounded three-phase AC 415V power input line.
- For normal stick welding, firmly fasten the electrode holder to positive (+) and ground clamp to negative (-) on your strong quick-connect dinse cable terminals in a clockwise direction.
- Tightly fasten your TIG torch gas link to the front brass gas connector panel and connect your argon shielding gas regulator line to the rear inlet.
- After choosing TIG or ARC mode on the toggle switch, use your sheet thickness or rod gauge to determine the desired amperage and post-flow gas timings.
