Description
Terminalia bellirica, commonly known as Thandri (Tamil), Bahera, Bibhitaki, or Belleric Myrobalan, is a large deciduous tree native to the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia. It belongs to the Combretaceae family and is one of the most important medicinal trees in Ayurveda. Known as one of the three fruits in the renowned "Triphala" formula (along with Terminalia chebula and Phyllanthus emblica), Thandri is highly valued for its astringent, rejuvenating, and therapeutic properties.
