Usage
:User Instructions :
- Preparation : Ensure the vibrator is connected to a stable 220V power source. Check that the needle and shaft are securely fastened to the motor unit.
- Insertion : Insert the vibrating needle vertically into the fresh concrete. The tip of the needle should penetrate the layer below the current pour (if applicable) for better bonding.
- Vibration : Allow the vibrator to remain in the concrete for 5 to 15 seconds until air bubbles stop rising to the surface and the concrete develops a glossy sheen.
- Withdrawal : Slowly and steadily withdraw the needle, keeping it immersed until just before it leaves the concrete. This prevents creating a hole or void where the needle was.
- Spacing : Space your insertions systematically, typically at intervals of 450mm to 750mm, ensuring the area of influence overlaps with the previous insertion.
- Avoidance : Do not strike the rebar or formwork with the vibrating head, as this can damage the equipment and the form.
Maintenance :
- Cleaning : Immediately after use, thoroughly clean the vibrating needle and shaft to remove all traces of concrete before it cures. Use water and a soft brush/cloth.
- Inspection : Regularly inspect the flexible shaft for cracks or kinks and the needle head for wear or damage. Check the motor housing and cable for signs of damage.
- Lubrication : Periodically check and, if required, re-lubricate the flexible shaft/couplings according to the manufacturer's manual to ensure smooth operation and prevent overheating.
- Storage : Store the vibrator in a dry, dust-free place. Never hang the motor unit by the flexible shaft. Coil the shaft loosely for storage.
- Electrical Check : Ensure the power cable and plug remain in excellent condition. Replace them immediately if any cuts or fraying are noticed.
