Usage
:
Maintenance & Care :
Inspect Before Use :
Always check the cutting disc for cracks, chips, or any damage before starting.
Make sure the water pipe (if using wet cutting) is intact and there are no leaks.
Mounting the Disc :
Use the correct wrench / socket to tighten the disc securely (use the supplied socket wrench and spanner).
Ensure the auxiliary handle is firmly attached for stable operation.
During Operation :
Use consistent pressure; don’t force the chaser too aggressively — let the disc do the work.
If using water-cooling (via the water pipe), maintain a steady flow to reduce heat and dust.
Cooling & Dust Management :
For dry cutting, try to limit cutting time in one stretch to avoid overheating.
Use a vacuum extraction system or dust mask / respirator — wall chasing produces a lot of fine dust.
Carbon Brush Replacement :
Monitor the carbon brushes; replace them using the spare brush set when they wear down. (Brush wear is common in powerful motors.)
Ensure motor is switched off and unplugged before opening brush compartments.
Storage :
Store in a dry place with good ventilation. Avoid damp conditions which may corrode internal parts.
Coil the power cord loosely; don’t wrap it too tightly to avoid damage.
Cleaning & After Use :
Clean external surfaces with a dry cloth; don’t use strong solvents.
After wet cutting, flush out any residual water and dry the tool to avoid internal rust.
Periodic Checks :
Check all accessory screws (aux handle, flange) periodically to make sure they remain tight.
Inspect the spindle and bearings; if there is wobble / abnormal vibration, get it serviced.
