Usage
:Usage :
Safety Precautions :
- Always wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as gloves and safety glasses when operating the grease pump.
- Ensure the work area is clean, well-ventilated, and free from ignition sources.
- Do not point the grease gun nozzle at yourself or others to avoid accidental injection injuries.
- Confirm that the pneumatic supply pressure does not exceed the recommended limits (check product manual for max pressure).
Setup :
- Place the grease pump on a stable and level surface near the lubrication point.
- Connect the pneumatic air supply hose securely to the air inlet valve on the pump. Ensure that the air compressor is set to the correct operating pressure (typically 6-8 bar, but verify with manufacturer specs).
- Attach the grease hose and grease gun to the outlet fitting securely.
- Ensure the grease container is filled with the appropriate grease compatible with your lubrication needs.
- Check all connections for leaks before operation.
Operation :
- Turn on the air supply to activate the pump.
- Hold the grease gun firmly and position the nozzle at the grease fitting (Zerk fitting) on the equipment.
- Squeeze the trigger to dispense grease at a controlled rate.
- Monitor the flow and stop pumping once the lubrication point is adequately greased.
- Use the pump’s flow rate of 0.85 LPM to estimate how long it will take to fill or grease specific components.
- When finished, turn off the air supply and relieve pressure from the system.
Maintenance
After Each Use :
- Wipe off any excess grease from the pump, hose, and grease gun to prevent buildup and contamination.
- Inspect the grease hose and connections for cracks, leaks, or damage.
- Cap or cover the grease pump inlet and outlet ports to prevent dirt or moisture ingress.
Regular Maintenance (Weekly or after heavy use) :
- Inspect pneumatic connections for air leaks and tighten fittings if necessary.
- Check the grease pump housing and moving parts for any signs of wear or damage.
- Clean the grease gun nozzle and hose end to prevent clogging.
- Lubricate any moving parts if recommended by the manufacturer.
Periodic Maintenance :
- Drain and replace grease in the container if contaminated or old.
- Inspect and replace any worn or damaged seals, O-rings, or gaskets to maintain airtight and grease-tight operation.
- Check the air filter or regulator on the compressor to ensure clean, dry air is supplied to the pump.
- Test the pump flow rate periodically to ensure it matches specifications (0.85 LPM).
Storage :
- When not in use for extended periods, clean the pump thoroughly.
- Store the pump in a dry, dust-free environment to avoid corrosion and damage.
- Drain any residual grease and release pneumatic pressure before storage.
