Description
Avcrete LMC is a heavy-duty, high abrasion resistant cementitious floor screed developed for industrial floors exposed to continuous traffic, impact, and mechanical wear. It is a single-component, factory-blended dry mortar that requires only water addition, ensuring consistent quality and reliable performance on site.
Avcrete LMC can be applied at 15–40 mm thickness over new or existing concrete substrates. It delivers a power-trowelled concrete-like finish with enhanced durability and wear resistance compared to conventional concrete toppings.
This system is ideal for industrial floor refurbishment where downtime must be minimized. The floor gains rapid strength and is ready for full operational traffic within 48 hours. Avcrete LMC can be used as a final finished floor or as a base for protective coatings.

APPLICATION THICKNESS :
15 mm to 40 mm
Usage
:MIXING INSTRUCTIONS :
- Use forced action pan mixer or drum mixer.
- For small batches, use paddle mixer (max 600 RPM).
- Add 3.5 litres of clean water into a container.
- Gradually add 25 kg Avcrete LMC powder into water.
- Mix for 3–4 minutes to obtain uniform, lump-free mortar.
- Slump should be 60–80 mm.
- Additional water up to 0.5 litres may be added if required.
- Do not overwater.
- For thickness above 15 mm, add 8 mm down clean aggregates in 2:1 ratio (Avcrete LMC : Aggregate).
SURFACE PREPARATION :
New Concrete :
- Minimum 21 days old.
- Free from oil, grease, dust, curing compounds.
- Achieve CSP 7–9 using mechanical methods.
- Wash and bring surface to SSD condition.
Old Concrete :
- Remove contamination by blasting or grinding.
- Repair cracks and weak concrete.
- Treat joints prior to application.
- Ensure SSD condition.
PRIMING :
- Pre-soak surface for minimum 4 hours.
- Ensure SSD with no standing water.
- Primer mix: 6–7 kg cement + 1 litre bonding additive + 3 litres water.
- Apply using brush or broom.
- Apply two coats; second after first becomes touch dry.
- Avoid ponding.
APPLICATION METHOD :
- Fix side forms/guides to required FFL.
- Pour mixed Avcrete LMC between guides.
- Spread and compact using beam vibrator or bull float.
- Level and finish edges.
- Power trowel to achieve smooth dense finish.
CURING :
- Moist cure by sprinkling water for 1–2 days.
- Light foot traffic after 24 hours.
- Full industrial traffic after 48 hours.
JOINTS :
- Match base concrete joints.
- Max panel size 25 sqm.
- Aspect ratio not more than 1.2.
LIMITATIONS :
- Do not apply on asphalt.
- Minimum surface temperature 5°C.
- Avoid direct sunlight and strong winds.
- Prevent freezing for 48 hours.
