The 3-inch semi-automatic disc filter is designed to remove organic and inorganic suspended solids from irrigation water. It uses a stack of grooved plastic discs compressed together. While a standard filter requires you to take it apart to clean it, the semi-automatic version allows you to clean the filter element while the system is pressurized. By simply turning a handle or opening a drainage valve, the discs loosen and spin, flushing trapped debris out through a flush port without you ever having to touch the dirty "guts" of the filter.
