Description
  • The Taparia 929 is a long, heavy-duty flat (slotted) screwdriver designed for industrial and maintenance tasks. With a 300 mm blade and a robust 10 mm wide tip, it provides high torque and reach. The blade is made of high-grade silicon-manganese steel, and the handle is made of transparent green cellulose acetate (CA) plastic, giving it both strength and good grip.

Features

 :
  • Durable and wear-resistant thanks to high-grade steel and hardened tip.
  • Magnetized tip makes it easier to handle small screws.
  • High torque capacity.
  • Robust handle that can take hammer strikes.
  • Good corrosion resistance via plating.

Applications

 :
  • Industrial Assemblies & Maintenance : Useful for large, deep, or hard-to-reach slotted screws in machinery and industrial equipment.
  • Mechanical Work : In workshops for assembling or disassembling mechanical components.
  • Electrical Panels : For tightening/loosening big slotted screws in panels (but note: this is not insulated, so not safe for live electrical work).
  • Heavy-Duty Repair Jobs : Since it supports striking, it can be used to free stuck or rusted screws with a hammer.
  • Construction & Fabrication : For tasks where long reach + torque is needed (e.g., mounting, metal frames, structural maintenance).

Usage

 :
Maintenance & Care :

Clean After Use :
  • Wipe the blade after use to remove grease, oil, or any debris.
  • Use a dry cloth; for stubborn grime, a mild solvent (compatible with steel) works.

Prevent Rust :
  • Although it has a nickel-chrome plating, it's good practice to lightly oil the blade occasionally to prevent rust, especially if used in humid or corrosive environments.

Inspect the Tip :
  • Check the tip periodically for wear or deformation. If the tip is rounded or chipped, its effectiveness will reduce, and it could damage screws.
  • If the tip is severely worn, consider replacing the screwdriver.

Store Properly :
  • Store in a dry toolbox or on a rack — avoid leaving it loosely in damp or high-humidity areas.
  • Avoid storing it with highly acidic or basic chemicals that could damage the handle or blade.

Use Correctly :
  • Use the correct size screwdriver for screws — don’t force a 10 mm flat tip into a much smaller slot.
  • When striking, use a hammer suited for tool striking and avoid excessive force to protect the handle and blade.

Re-magnetization (Optional) :
  • If the magnetic tip loses strength over time, you can re-magnetize it using a small magnetizing tool or a strong magnet.
