Description
The JCB 8041‑5MPB (64925) is a premium 4‑piece set of deep impact sockets built for heavy duty work. These sockets feature a 1″ drive and 6‑point (hex) configuration, making them ideal for large fasteners in industrial, automotive, agricultural, or heavy machinery contexts. The set includes metric sizes of 27, 32, 33, and 36 mm, covering a broad range of application needs.

Features

 :
  • Deep Profile Design : Helps reach recessed nuts and bolts that standard shallow sockets can't access.
  • Impact Rated (Cr‑Mo Steel) : Made from high-strength Chrome Molybdenum alloy to resist deformation under high torque.
  • 6-Point (Hex) Profile : Ensures secure engagement on fasteners and reduces risk of rounding corners.
  • Full Size Range : Covers 27 to 36 mm — useful for larger nuts and bolts commonly found on heavy-duty machinery and vehicles.
  • Durable Storage Case : Helps keep sockets organized, protected from damage, and easy to transport.
  • Heavy-duty Use : Suitably engineered for use with pneumatic, electric, or hydraulic impact wrenches.

Applications

 :
1. Automotive and Heavy Vehicle Maintenance

  • Ideal for working on trucks, buses, tractors, and off-road vehicles.
  • Commonly used for wheel nuts, suspension components, and chassis bolts.

2. Construction Equipment Servicing

  • Useful for maintaining and assembling parts on excavators, backhoes, loaders, and other heavy machinery.
  • Helps handle fasteners that require high torque.

3. Industrial Maintenance

  • Used in factories and industrial plants to install or remove large fasteners on machinery and production equipment.

4. Agricultural Equipment Repair

  • Perfect for farm machinery like harvesters, seeders, and ploughs, which often have larger bolts (e.g., 32 mm, 36 mm).

5. Railway and Infrastructure Projects

  • Suitable for high-torque applications in rail maintenance, steel structure assembly, and other infrastructure work where durability is critical.

6. Workshop and Garage Use

  • A must-have in professional mechanic shops and fleet service centers where fast, powerful bolt removal is needed.

Usage

 :
User Instructions :

1. Choose the Correct Socket Size

  • Match the socket size to the nut or bolt head.
  • Make sure it fits snugly—not too tight, not loose—to avoid slippage or damage.

2. Attach to Impact Tool

  • Use with a 1" drive impact wrench, torque wrench, or breaker bar.
  • Insert the socket into the square drive until it clicks into place or is firmly seated.

3. Position the Socket on the Fastener

  • Align the socket with the fastener (nut or bolt).
  • Ensure it sits flush and straight to avoid rounding off the fastener edges.

4. Apply Torque

  • If using an impact wrench:
  • Hold the tool firmly.
  • Start slowly to engage the fastener.
  • Apply steady pressure until the nut is loosened or tightened.
  • If using a manual breaker bar or torque wrench:
  • Apply steady, controlled force in the appropriate direction (tighten or loosen).
  • Avoid jerky or excessive force to prevent damage.

5. Remove and Store

  • Once finished:
  • Remove the socket from the tool.
  • Clean it (wipe off dust/oil).
  • Store it in the designated box or case to prevent rust and keep the set organized.

Maintenance :

1. Clean After Each Use

  • Wipe down the sockets with a clean cloth to remove:
  • Dust
  • Grease
  • Metal shavings or debris
  • For stubborn grime, use a mild degreaser or soapy water.
  • Always dry the sockets thoroughly to prevent rust.

 2. Inspect for Wear or Damage

  • Before and after use, check each socket for:

  • Cracks or chips (especially around the 6-point openings)

  • Deformation at the drive end or socket wall

  • Rust or pitting

  • Do not use damaged sockets — they can break under torque and cause injury or damage.

3. Apply Rust Protection

  • In humid or outdoor environments:
  • Lightly apply machine oil or anti-rust spray to prevent corrosion.
  • Wipe off any excess oil before use.

4. Store Properly

  • Always store the sockets in a dry, clean place, preferably:
  • In the original case or tray
  • Inside a toolbox drawer or cabinet
  • Avoid storing near chemicals or in damp locations that may promote corrosion.

5. Avoid Misuse

  • Only use these sockets with:
  • 1″ drive impact wrenches, breaker bars, or torque tools
  • Do not use with:
  • Manual ratchets or non-impact tools (risk of socket damage)
  • Hammering tools or chisels
  • Avoid using the wrong size socket on a fastener.

 6. Check Tool Compatibility

  • Ensure the sockets fit snugly on the tool's 1" drive.
  • Loose fitting may cause wear on the drive end and reduce performance.
