Description
A 5 kg MIG welding wire roll is a continuous solid filler wire used in MIG/MAG welding processes. It’s typically made of copper-coated mild steel and wound tightly on a spool so it can be fed smoothly through a MIG welder’s wire feed system. These rolls are designed to be compatible with most standard MIG welding machines that take a 5 kg spool and require shielding gas for proper arc protection and weld quality.
Features
:- Solid filler wire for MIG/MAG welding — provides strong, continuous welds
- Copper-coated surface improves electrical conductivity and resistance to surface corrosion.
- De-oxidising chemistry helps reduce porosity, spatter, and improve weld cleanliness.
- Weight: 5 kg roll — ideal for longer welding tasks with fewer spool changes.
- Diameter options: Common sizes include 0.8 mm.
- Smooth feedability: Consistent diameter and finish mean fewer stops, less jams, and smoother feeding through liners and contact tips.
- Shielding gas use: Designed for welding with CO₂ or Argon/CO₂ mixes (for solid wire).
- Stable arc and weld pool control — better precision and bead appearance.
- Low spatter output — reduces post–weld cleanup.
- Versatile application — from thin sheet metal to medium-thickness structural welding.
