Description
A manual roti press machine is a non-electric kitchen appliance designed to flatten dough balls into uniform, thin, circular breads like rotis, chapatis, or tortillas. It typically consists of two circular pressing plates (usually made of cast iron, stainless steel, or aluminum) connected by a hinge, with a handle for operation. The 18.3 cm (7.2-inch) diameter specifies the size of the pressing surface, which is ideal for producing standard-sized rotis or puris. It's a simple, manual device that helps in rolling out dough balls into perfect circles, saving time and effort.
Features
:- Uniform Diameter (18.3 cm): The size is optimized for making standard, medium-sized rotis, chapatis, or tortillas, ensuring consistent food portioning.
- Durable Construction: Built with heavy-duty materials to provide stability and long-lasting performance under repeated high-pressure use.
- Manual Leverage System: Features a long, ergonomic handle and a sturdy hinge mechanism that multiplies the user's force, making it easy to flatten dough with minimal effort.
- Non-Stick Plates : Many models include a polished or non-stick coating on the plates to prevent dough from sticking, allowing for easy release and quick cleanup.
- Fixed-Hinge Design: The design ensures that the top and bottom plates remain perfectly aligned, guaranteeing a perfectly circular and evenly thin result with every press.
Applications
:- Home Kitchens : Ideal for making puris, rotis, and chapatis quickly and easily, saving time and effort in dough preparation.
- Small-scale Food Businesses : Perfect for small eateries, tiffin services, or food stalls where fresh flatbreads are made daily.
- Catering Services : Useful for efficiently preparing multiple rotis or puris for events or gatherings.
- Restaurants & Cafes : Helps streamline the process of preparing dough-based items like puris, rotis, and parathas in commercial kitchens.
Usage
:- Prepare the Dough : Make the dough for puris or rotis by mixing flour, water, and salt, and kneading it to a smooth consistency.
- Set the Machine : Place the press on a flat, stable surface. Ensure the press is clean and properly assembled.
- Divide the Dough : Take a small portion of dough and roll it into a ball, roughly the size of a small marble.
- Place Dough in Press : Open the press and place the dough ball in the centre of the lower plate.
- Press the Dough : Close the press and apply pressure on the handle to flatten the dough into a round, thin disc.
- Remove the Puri/Roti : Open the press and carefully remove the flattened dough, ready for cooking.
- Cook : Cook the puri/roti on a hot tawa or frying pan.
