Usage
:Placement: Place the unit on a sturdy and heat-resistant countertop. Connect the gas source securely.
Seasoning (Initial Use): For a new tawa, heat it and apply a thin, even layer of cooking oil. Let it smoke lightly. This process creates a natural non-stick surface.
Pre-heating: Turn on the two gas burners using the control knobs. Allow the 15mm thick plate to heat up thoroughly. The thick tawa ensures excellent heat retention and even distribution.
Cooking: Once hot, wipe the surface with a cloth or half-cut onion dipped in oil. Pour dosa batter onto the plate and spread it with a ladle. The large surface and dual burners allow you to cook multiple dosas simultaneously.
Cleaning: After use, turn off the gas and let the tawa cool down slightly. Scrape off any food residue and wipe the surface with a damp cloth. Avoid using soap to preserve the seasoning and prevent rust.
