A waffle maker, also known as a waffle iron or waffle machine, is a kitchen appliance used to cook waffles. It consists of two hinged metal plates with gridded indentations that shape the waffle from the batter placed between them. The plates are heated, and when the iron is closed, the waffle bakes within the indentations. Waffle makers can come in various types and designs to cater to different styles of waffles.
