Description
The MMA 225D is a powerful 225A Single-Phase IGBT inverter welder designed for portability and efficiency. Its robust Single PCB and 2-IGBT configuration ensure a stable arc and high performance for professional-grade DIY and heavy maintenance on 220V power. Get reliable welding in a compact, medium body.
Features
:- 225 Amp High Power Output : Provides sufficient power for running common electrodes (2.5mm, 3.15mm, and 4mm) with a good duty cycle, allowing for continuous, heavy-duty welding.
- IGBT Inverter Technology : Delivers a smooth, highly stable welding arc with less spatter and high energy efficiency compared to older transformer models.
- Compact Single PCB Design (2-IGBT, 2-Diode, 2-Capacitor) : This minimalist internal structure enhances durability, reduces weight, and simplifies maintenance, ensuring a long and reliable service life.
- Portable Medium Body : Designed to be easily carried to the job site, fitting perfectly into a toolbox or vehicle for on-the-go maintenance.
- 35-50 Connector : Equipped with standard, professional-grade quick connectors, ensuring maximum current conductivity and easy, secure cable changes—critical for 225A output.
- 220V Single Phase : Simply plug into any standard wall outlet, eliminating the need for complex industrial wiring.
Accessories
:- 1.5 meters earth clamp cable.
- 2 meters welding lead (electrode holder cable).
Applications
:- Heavy Industrial Fabrication : Ideal for structural steel, heavy machinery, and tank construction.
- Shipbuilding and Offshore : High-duty cycle performance required for marine environments.
- Construction and Infrastructure : Perfect for welding beams, pipelines, and site maintenance.
- Professional Repair : Handles high-volume, continuous maintenance and repair tasks in workshops.
Usage
:Usage Guidance (How to use) :
- Preparation : Plug the machine into a 220V wall socket. Connect the Earth Clamp securely to a clean (bare metal) section of the workpiece. Connect the Electrode Holder to the correct output terminal (typically positive for most general-purpose rods).
- Current Setting : Dial in the welding current (Amperage) based on the diameter of your electrode and the thickness of the metal. Always refer to the electrode packaging for the recommended range.
- Welding : Hold the electrode at a slight angle and strike the arc by lightly tapping or scratching the rod on the workpiece. Maintain a consistent arc length and travel speed to produce a uniform bead.
- Cooling : This "Medium body" machine relies on its fan. Ensure the cooling vents are unobstructed during use to prevent the internal IGBTs from overheating and tripping the thermal protection.
Maintenance Guidance :
- Cleanliness : Regularly use a clean, dry air compressor to blow dust and metal filings out of the cooling vents and internal circuitry. Dust buildup is the primary cause of failure in inverters.
- Cable Check : Frequently inspect the welding cables, the electrode holder, and the 35-50 connectors for wear, cuts, or loose fittings. Damage to cables reduces performance and increases electrical hazard.
- Power Down : After welding, turn the machine off and allow the fan to run for a few minutes to cool down the internal components completely before unplugging and storing it.
- Storage : Store the welder in a dry, clean area away from moisture, corrosive materials, and excessive heat.
