Description
Experience ultimate portability with the KPT KWM 200. Weighing just 2.7kg, this 200A IGBT inverter welder is perfect for mobile repairs and DIY projects. It smoothly runs 1.6mm to 3.2mm electrodes with a 60% duty cycle, delivering professional results in a compact package. Energy-efficient and easy to handle, it is the ideal tool for home and light industrial use.
Features
:- Featherweight Design : At only 2.70 Kg, this is one of the lightest welders in its class, reducing fatigue during site work.
- Reliable Power : Delivers a stable 20 - 200 Amp output, ensuring smooth beads and easy arc striking.
- IGBT Technology : Provides superior arc stability and energy efficiency (85%) compared to older transformer models.
- Consistent Duty Cycle : Welds at 200A with a 60% duty cycle, allowing you to work efficiently without frequent cooling breaks.
- Versatile Electrode Use : Optimized for Ø1.6mm to Ø3.2mm rods, covering most standard fabrication needs.
Applications
:- Home Repairs : Fixing gates, window grills, and garden tools.
- DIY Projects : Building metal stands, shelves, and hobby crafts.
- Light Fabrication : Welding thin to medium-gauge mild steel sheets.
- Mobile Maintenance : Perfect for technicians who need to climb ladders or travel to job sites.
Usage
:Usage Guidance (How to Use) :
- Setup : Place the machine on a flat, dry surface. Ensure the cooling fan is not blocked.
- Wiring : Connect the earth clamp to your metal workpiece and the electrode holder to the positive terminal (for standard DC polarity).
- Dial It In : For a 2.5mm rod, set the dial to approx 80-100 Amps. For a 3.2mm rod, set it between 110-140 Amps.
- Arc Striking : Use a "match-striking" motion to ignite the arc. Maintain a short arc length for better penetration.
- Cool Down : Let the fan run for a minute after welding before switching the machine off.
Maintenance Guidance :
- Dust Control : Since the machine is small, dust can accumulate quickly. Blow it out with low-pressure air every 2-3 weeks.
- Cable Check : Regularly check the insulation on the power cord and welding cables to prevent shocks.
- Ventilation : Never cover the machine while it is running; good airflow is vital for the compact inverter board.
